TLDR : Answer Summary
Holders of Thai retirement visas planning to travel must purchase a re-entry permit (1,000 baht for single entry, 3,800 baht for multiple entries) to return without losing their extension of stay. It's crucial to check the stamps in their passports to confirm they are on an extension. Upon returning, travelers must adhere to current entry requirements, which may include documents such as an approved Thai Pass, proof of COVID insurance, and vaccination history.

Okay, the issue is sorted, The O/P is on an "extension of stay" which is NOT a visa ๐ฎ and they will need to buy a re-entry permit before they leave the country or they will lose their current extension
remember everyone extensions of stays are sold without ANY re-entry permit, you BUY one after you get your extension and it will be valid until your extension expires

Now as far as what you need to do to get back IN to thailand that's not a topic for this group. ๐ You would need to meet the entry requirements in place when you come back. As of right now that's an approved thai pass, proof of a minimum of 30 days 10K USD in covid insurance and your vaccination history.
What it will be when you go to re-enter thailand is anyone's guess. ๐ฎ
post here and ask your questions about getting back in
If you look at the stamps in your passports and they say "extension of stay permitted until" and have a date on it you're not on any visa but on an extension
To leave/come back to thailand you need to BUY a re-entry permit (single re-entry 1000 baht, multiple re-entry 3800 baht) and you get them at the immigration office where you got your extensions done OR at the airport before you fly out (note they are NOT available at every international airport so check before).
I will complete my question, I have the stamp RETIREMENT until 19.2.2022 and I have the stamp extensions of stay permitted up to 19.2.2023, will your answer change?
