I need to go to the Uk this month for family issue. I’m on a retirement visa expiring Feb2022
Is there anything I can do to facilitate my re -entry when I come back at the end of June? I understand of course I need to do mandatory quarantine

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on re-entering Thailand on a retirement visa after traveling to the UK for family reasons. They have a multiple-entry retirement visa valid until February 2022. Commenters suggest purchasing a single entry re-entry permit for 1,000 THB from a local immigration office and highlight the need for quarantine and obtaining a Certificate of Entry upon returning.

One note: If you buy a multi-re-entry permit for 3800 Baht every year together with your fresh “1-year extension of stay permit” that costs a fee of 1900 Baht, you are definitely throwing pearls to sows, in case you do not plan to leave Thailand for at least four times within the 1-year period.
A single re-entry permit would be just enough, and it costs 1000 Baht at immigration. You can buy it on the day you go for your extension of stay permit, and it will be valid as long as the stay permit takes you. You will have saved 2800 Baht.
As a rule, I always buy a single re-entry with my extension, let alone in case I need to leave the country on a quick notice or in case I get repatriated as a sick patient. The re-entry permit would keep my current stay permit alive.
In the past I had, like the threadstarter, always bought the multi re-entry version, until one day the Immigration boss, going through my passport, said to me “Sir, you are spending money every year on re-entries you do did never use, in the past 8 years” and then told me to stick with a single re-entry or just buy one at the airport before leaving.
. In Thailand you got an extension of stay for 1 year I guess. Maybe on a visa Non imm OA or Non imm O originaly ? THEN it is not multy entry and you have to buy one as mentioned above...

where did you apply for your visa/extension this Feb 2021, inside Thailand or Thai consulate outside Thailand?
If you are on an extension of stay based on being over 50 (which you applied for at the immigration office - chaengwattana), you need to have a re-entry permit to keep your stamp alive.
If you entered Thailand with actual multiple entry Non-OA on Feb 2021, you don't need re-entry permit.
if you are applying inside Thailand, it's not visa, it's extension of stay, WITHOUT any entry. If you apply for multiple re-entry permit with your extension, it would be okay. But if you apply only for extension, you need to buy re-entry permit BEFORE you fly out. Check your passport if you have a stamp saying "re-entry permit".

You will need to purchase a single entry re-entry permit at your local immigration office for 1K THB.
You'll have to go through the normal quarantine requirements and requesting a Certificate of Entry (which is beyond the scope of this group). What those are at the end of June I do not know
