Hello fellow travellers. Can anyone confirm what docs immigration in Bangkok has asked to see for visa on arrival lately this month?
Thai embassy said just exit flight and valid passport for 6 months but I've heard they ask for other things too.
Thank you ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent discussions among travelers suggest that the primary documents required for a visa on arrival in Bangkok include a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity), boarding pass, and occasionally other documents such as proof of 20,000 baht or equivalent in cash, proof of onward travel, and hotel booking confirmation. However, it's noted that these additional documents are rarely requested.
Note regarding the 20,000 baht. You can order this from your home country bank or currency exchange if you plan ahead. Even though it is rare to be asked you are going to spend it here anyway. Youโve just saved an ATM fee.
that's a horrible idea. You're not required to have 20,000 baht, you can have 20,000 baht in your home country currency and change it in Thailand. The exchange rate you get outside of the country is going to be terrible compared to the rate inside Thailand.
