Made an appointment online for today..showed up with Copy of my daughters birth certificate, ID card & house registration book
I didn't print anything to do with financial statements as it wasn't very clear what they wanted as all it says on the website is "2.5. Applicant’s financial statement of adequate finance is required." They wanted 6 months bank statements and a balance of 20k in any bank/currency.
Showed 6 months statements from Krungsri download from app and printed and a print out of current balance of Lloyd's UK bank and paid the 200USD visa fee.
Received my wee slip to pick up the 12 month multiple entry non-o on Tuesday..copy shop just round the corner so quick and easy if needing extra paperwork printed out.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shared their recent experience applying for a NON-O Visa at the Thai embassy in Ho Chi Minh City. They made an online appointment and brought essential documents, including their daughter's birth certificate and financial statements. Despite initial confusion about the financial requirements, they submitted bank statements showing a balance of 20,000 in any currency. They successfully paid the 200 USD visa fee and received a receipt to pick up their 12-month multiple entry NON-O Visa.

Congrats, few if any consulates will issue year-long, multi-entry Non-O based on thai child anymore so if you paid 200USD you definitely applied for that visa (y)
Report back when you pick up the passport and let us know if it really is a year/multi Non-O
Again congrats, and the required financials were low too 🙂
