To apply for the DTV, you must be a foreigner with a job in the digital or technology sector or an investor in a digital-related business.

Requirements: Valid Passport, Work Permit (If applying for a work visa), Proof of Employment/Investment, Health Insurance, Financial Proof.

Okay my "anonymous participant" How about we start with some easy questions

- What is your nationality?

- Are you in thailand now or in your country still?

- If you're in thailand where are you in the country

- If you're in thailand when does your current stamp expire?

- Are you able to meet the 500K baht banked money requirement to apply for the DTV

- What category would you apply for the DTV under?

answer those and people MIGHT be able to steer you down the path you need,

ask vague questions like you did and you're making it too hard for people to offer advice..

It's the most expensive thai consulate in the world and NOT ONE Kiwi should EVER get a visa from the consulate in wellington before you come here

Just come to thailand free stamp entry, pick a nearby consulate and go get the visa there

yes you just show you're legally IN that country (copy of your visa, entry stamp and use the hotel address as your location in the country

My wild guess? The NZ government asked for it to be this way, as they don't want the people leaving en masse? Seriously speaking, I read on a famous newspaper article that the NZ government was not happy about the net emigration figures (not only to Thailand, of course).
