TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a helpful video that addresses many questions about the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand, emphasizing the importance of understanding visa policies. Comments highlight shared frustrations with basic questions and the need for thorough research, while others express appreciation for the clarity provided by officials on visa usage, including the distinction between acceptable activities under visa exemptions.
Thank you! I have been paying attention since May and watching the DTV info come out. I found this very informational and so happy that it’s the deputy director-general of the Department of Consular Affairs at Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who actually knows something about why policies came about. Was confusing at first to try to figure this all out. Great to share with friends also. Merry Christmas!🎄

He's basically said what we've known for months! 😂😂
Yeah but all he's done is reiterate what's been published before. I didn't learn anything new from what he said.

Here are lots of videos on YouTube also. That's why l don't understand some basic questions do your research folks it's not rocket science and will ensure greater chance of success
lots of absolute dolts on YouTube. Worthless. But excited to offer up their useless impression of the situation to their breathless viewers. Funny stuff
you need to sort the crap from the real. If there is a MFA or immagration officer involved it's ok. Others are just making it up like most in this forum
up to you what you do. I'm just telling you that influencers and the like are crap. Listen or not l don't care. I know what my visa is and the conditions not like half these tools
yes they are, I agree. They just want likes and explain it without context. The content above is with the legit people at the government who decide what is what.

I think the clarification was clear. MFA have the policy and issue the visa. The Law is "owned" elsewhere ie Interior and Immigration. Very clear that immigration also have discretion about entry and extension. The part about being able to engage in business activities (Not working) on 60 day exempt is clear now. In the past it never was. People always just used the Visa Exempt to attend meeting, deliver seminars & training with no issue but it was a great area and should have had a B visa.
This is not the group but the clarity on business events on Visa events is good. When I was in Big Pharma there was always discussions on what we could and could not do. As far as I am aware there was only a single time when someone got in trouble for speaking at an event. It involved things best not said in public so that is as far as I am going.
