LA Consul site has similar message. Not clear if they are are accepting visa apps they are doing some services for Thais by mail.

Garrette, too late now, but you should have stayed-- i think not long before lockdown. While in self isolation. we will, miss you snooping about and finding all the local problems.

Lookout there, things are a mess in the US, is Trump still spouting that , like a miracle, with warm weather, the virus will just disappear? As a fellow American, i am comforted by having someone so capable, and a stable genius, as president-- he was just touting a new cure combo of drugs, potentially deadly, as a cure, the doctors were advising against it, but what do they know-- trump knows it all.
