Is Regency International a Good Option for Health Insurance for Thai Long Stay Visas?

There is an insurance policy health insurance with Regency international offering low price of $US1134 designed especially for thai long stay...thailand only... immediate cover... covers outpatient 40000bht... inpatient 400000... no medical checkups.. no pre existing maybe this is the answer or at least some honest competition ????

Regency for Expats are fine, but beware of their "semi-private" room clause for their cheaper policies.

There was something running on TVF regarding Regency. Seems to be ok as

 said for applying for the O-A in your home come IF they sign the certificate BUT it isn't accepted for 2nd year and or subsequent extensions INSIDE of Thailand at immigration offices.

 of course there are better policys out there.

You can take a better policy....as long as it's from one of those suppliers and meets the minimum requirements.

 having looked at a few of the company’s offering long stay O-A health insurance. I see that they generally have a chart showing age & policy cost on a sliding graph. If this is long stay O-A health insurance why does the chart start before 50 & anyone younger would be crazy to take theses policy’s as much better out there. These prices are inflated & coverage amount is minimal it’s a over the barrel & being shafted scenario

"O" Visas do not require insurance as of now. But, it's not a good idea to stay here with no insurance. I have coverage from my home country. Otherwise, I would not be here.

IF that company is not on the approved insurance provider list it won't work for anything BUT buying an O-A visa in your country before you come here. If you're wanting to get an extension of stay from the immigration office off an O-A visa you need to use one of the approved thai providers.
