Hi guys, I have a Non O retirement visa which expires June 21. I returned home for Xmas and re-entered Thailand January 4 with a re-entry permit that I had purchased when I did my retirement visa. Now I have noticed that airport immigration have stamped me in for 30 days upon arrival which expired on February 2 even though I have visa and re-entry permit. I know I should have checked my passport earlier but I just assumed all the valid info would appear on their computer screen. It's the first time I've left and re-entered the kingdom since I got my retirement visa so is it normal practice to be stamped back in for 30 days or do I need to go back to BKK to get it sorted out? TIA

I always produce my passport to the IO with the relevant page open showing my re-entry stamp. They look at it then flick to the front page. Never had any issues so far. Still check though before leaving airport especially.

Exactly, I do the same - always precisely point at the re-entry permit in my passport

OUCH 😮 always check your stamp when they hand your passport back in 😕 (something I would imagine you'll do from now on 😉 )

You need to go to the immigration office where you live (preferably the one where you got the "retirement visa" issued) and see if they'll change the stamp

IF they won't that means you slog on back to the airport you flew in at to have them correct it
