Can I get my 60-day tourist visa stamped at an immigration office if I only received a 30-day stamp upon entry into Thailand?

I don’t understand what happened I entered in bangkok and did present the Tourist visa to the immigration officer in Bangkok upon my arrival and I assumed she stamped my passport for the 60 days. I know I should have checked the stamp but I was so tired from my flight that was delayed and I had been traveling over 40 hours and didn’t realize she only gave me 30 days stamp until a few days later. I would like to know if I can have my passport stamped for the 60 days granted on the visa if I go to a immigration office or do I have to leave Thailand to use my 60 day visa that was granted. I do not know if she actually used the Visa or not.

Everything is sorted out, yes the visa was recorded in the computer but th IO only stamped for 30 days. Nakon Phanom immigration took care of it for me and very nice people working there. Lesson learned!

I learned the hard way going into Cambodia, bought a visa at the border, never checked my passport, tried to leave a few days later. Never stamped in $us200 bribe to get it stamped so I could leave. Always check the stamps.

so with the evisa they just stamp your passport ? i know pre covid the visa was attached in the passport & they stamped that. do you just show them a print/email & then stamp your passport

I have entered with a 60 day TR 3 times (with a paper print of the visa) and each time I carefully check what they have stamped before I move away from the immigration counter.

Don't exit and try to re-enter to activate your Visa as it may already be in the system as used and you got a 30 day stamp not the 60 that may already be in the system. You need to know if your Visa is still valid before doing this which can be done at Immigration or the airport.

You go back to your entry point into Thailand and they will sort it. Any Evisa needs ro be printed to be certain

This happened to me and when I was leaving he said I overstayed so I showed them the visa and they just updated the stamp on arrival.

But worth going for an extension and they will probably tell you that you have 60 days and can extend to 90 days

When we arrived, the airport immigration officer gave us 59 days - I assume because he counted wrong when he set his stamps that day. We have since got a 30 day extension but it is from day 59 so only 89 days total. Luckily we are leaving on day 88 so it doesn’t matter but it could have been a bigger problem…check your date stamp folks !!

Use your 30 days extend it for 30 more cross the border and come back use the visa then and you can extend that for 30 more Thailand is your oyster😎😎😎

From Personal Experience I can tell you that is Important what's in the computer. Doesnt matter what's the stamp in the passport says.

 1900 is the fee for an extension - correcting an error by the airport immigration officer is free.

 there are no visa stickers in your passport if it got issued by the online E-visa system. It's a pdf document. You need to present the printed document if you want to get stamped in on it

To correct it you must go back to port of entry (the airport you arrived at) they can't fix at any other port or immigration office.

If your tourist visa isn't used, then you could exit and reenter on it to extend your total time.but if it's used, you would need to go have it fixed or exit before your current stamp.

 this is not correct because this happened to me and they were able to fix it at the immigration office knowing that it was the error of the person who stamped me in. Maybe there are some offices that are reluctant to do it but you can definitely get it done in Bangkok.
