How Can I Make an Appointment for Visa Collection at the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur?

Hi all, I just made an appointment with the Thai KL embassy too obtain a visa. I’m assuming I can apply for a 60 day visa (Australian passport holder).

Now I also know I need to make an appointment for collection of visa and passport, because I read it on this very resourceful forum, but for the life of me I can’t find the link to make appointment for collection that was kindly posted somewhere here. Could you please help me here, as I can’t seem to find it on the KL Thai embassy website. Thanks

May I ask...How long are you really planning to be or live in Thailand?

As an Australian, you could obtain a METV for a 6+ months stay in Thailand...or apply for the correct visa to live in Thailand.

A visa in your passport is no guarantee Thai Immigration will allow you to enter.

I have been testing the waters so to speak as regards living in Thailand and I think a decision is imminent! So I will be applying for a retirement visa forthwith, which I will do when in Thailand.

I trust and hope they will let me in this forthcoming occasion, as I will have met all the requirements necessary for a 60 day tourist visa. Though I understand that is not a given.

As for a METV I understand that one has to apply for that in the country of citizenship/origin

You cannot make an appointment to collect the visa until you have submitted the documents at the Embassy.

That's why you need a working mobile phone. You need to be able to receive the SMS text or email

They should of sent you an email to print out with a link for an online email ticket (QR code) print it and take it with you or store the QR code as I guess they scan it. You do the same again in the other link AFTER you have submitted the application and passport at the embassy to book a collection appointment.

They then again send you a link for the collection ticket once the visa is ready to collect.

thanx Ron. So only make one appointment to submit visa application. They send me a link to make collection appointment after receiving my application.
