As a U.S Citizen, i know in the past, i didnt need a visa to travel for less than 30 days. Did this rule change because of covid? I am looking to travel in july for like 3 weeks. Also what are the new requirements and steps to travel (hoping the quarantine rule gets lifted and head to phucket for 7 days)

45 days visa-free entry, extendable another 30 days. This includes the 15 days quarantine. So you can still get 60 days to run amok amongst all the closed bars and clubs!

Yes, they extended it to 45 days.

You will need to get a certificate of entry from the Thai government, including insurance that covers COVID-19 for 100K USD.

The Phuket Sandbox plan is just that - a plan. It's unknown what the requirements will be to enter the Sandbox.
