I am staying here on an ED visa and my 90 day reporting is coming up in April 9. However, I will away in Europe from 3rd April and coming back on 16th April. I have a multiple re-entry permit. Would it be safe to assume I will not need to report before I go? As the 90 day reporting would be reset when I arrive back in Thailand on 16th April. I understand I have up until 7 days after the report date (9 April) before I am overdue. Would this work?

Ok thanks, that is how I thought I understood it as well. I had this happen last year when I went to Singapore but it was not so close to the reporting date deadline.

If your due date of being 90 days inside of Thailand is 9th April and you leave Thailand on the 3rd April you are not 90 days inside Thailand and you don't need to report. When you come back into Thailand on 16th April this day will be day nr 1 of the new count of 90 days.

I not understand. With an Multiple Entry ED visa you are only allowed to be maximum 90 days inside the country, so you can not do 90 days reports as you have to leave. You have a multipe re-entry permit, but what is than your Extension of Stay is permitted up to date stamped in your passport?

Even with a Single Entry ED visa he is not allowed to stay longer than 90 days inside the country.

The OP didnt say he had a multi entry ED visa, only a multi re-entry permit.

Yes you don't need to do a 90 day report since you leave the country before that. When you come back and check back in with a stamp, that's your 90 day report.
