I hold a Non Immigration O-A Multiple Entry visa issued in Australia in March 2019 valid until March 2020. I have returned to Australia and will re-enter Thailand in February 2020 for a period of 3 weeks.  My questions are... 1) do I need Health Insurance to enter in February, and 2) will I need Health Insurance to enter during the 12 month Extension of Stay period, up to February 2021?

All i can say is you do not tricker a one year Extension of Stay by coming in Thailand. As far as it looks now, you will get stamped in for a maximum of one year OR the period covered by your health insurance, which ever comes first. But that is how I read this Police report and as we all read different we still have to wait for personal experience other than I saw a German using this visa and he got denied entry. Why the entry was denied is not mentioned, so not really helpful to all of you out there with this visa.

As we are hearing now...you will need to either buy health insurance from the Thai approved list/link. Or submit a signed Certificate of International Insurance from your current insurer showing your health policy meets the minimum requirements of the O-A visa.

If do you not have this insurance, upon arrival to Thailand, Thai Immigration likely will stamp you in for 30 days. During which time you can purchase the health insurance and go to Thai Immigration to submit the Certificate from the insurance company showing you now have the insurance. Upon doing so, your permission to stay date will be adjusted to that of your O-A visa stamp.

Following if there's any new information out there. Currently in Los Angeles with a new O-A issued before the 31st of October and returning home in a few weeks.
