My wife and I are on type A non immigrant visa. Our baby is born in Thailand. Can we get her the visa while in Thailand? We are Indian passport holders.

First get a passport for your baby through your embassy here.

You then get a dependant visa for your child.

There are no visa/overstay penalties for children of foreigners here, especially newborns.

You'll need birth certificate/ paperwork from hospital your child is born in. Speak to them. They will guide you through the process.

Thank you Steven. I am checking for the process post the passport. I have been told that the once the passport is acquired, the baby has to go back to home country to get a Type A non immigrant visa. I am hoping to find a way to get the visa stamp without traveling out of the country.
