Hey everyone. The last stamp in my passport is a 30 day extension that I received in Koh Samui. It is up this Monday the 25th and I leave Thailand permanently this Saturday the 3rd.  

Does anyone know if immigration will grant me an additional 9 day, especially as I have proof I’m leaving for good? I’ll be going to Chiang Mai immigration. Thanks for the help!

If u have proof of an air ticket leaving Thailand on March 3, u just have to go to the closest immigration office and get a 7 days extension for 1900 baht.

And no overstay because February has only 28 days so u r ok ;)

Seven days only, then pay then 1,000 baht overstay on the way out. Payment at CNX is easy, you pay it on the left just as you pass international security and there are zero hassles. You could of course just overstay 9 days but it would be cheaper to get the 7 day extension then pay the 2 day overstay.

I'm on your side here - I did the overstay as can you imagine trying to organize a run to Mae Sai on NYE :)

Absolutely a run up to Mae Sai for a border bounce is the best option but a small overstay (2 days) is an alternative - I did a 6 day overstay myself at the beginning of 2016 but only because Promenada refused a 7 days extension Dec 30 as my ED (and extension of stay) expired Dec 31. \

Nope. You can get an extension denied stamp for 7 days but your only other option is a border bounce for another 30 day exempt
