I arrived from USA and got my 30 day last in Thailand. I want to stay another 3 weeks. Can I just go to Chiang Mai immigration office and pay 1900 baht and get another 30 days? Thx

Back in 2014 they changed the rule and now people on 30 day visa exempt entry stamps can apply for a 30 day extension at the immigration office for 1900baht.

I did it before 8 years ago but only got 7 days at the Phuket office. I know they change the rules every month it seems so I thought I would ask here. Thx

Not so many changes. Extensions for visa exemption are 30 days for quite a few years now. 7 days is what you get when they deny your application - the time they give you to pack your shit and leave 😄. 8 years ago it might have not been possible to extend exemption at all, that's why you got 7 days.
