I am here on a single entry visa valid until end of October, and I would like to extend for one more month, as I will leave end of November. The thing is I had few pages left in my passport so I got a new passport in BKK. 

To do the extension in my new passport will I have to pay more than the normal extension?

Or another option is to do a Ranong border run, for an additional 30 days. Will I have problems doing this with two passports?

There is no fee to transfer your stamps into a new passport, not at an Immigration Office, border check point or on the airport at the checkpoint.

1000 baht was transfer fee if I do an extension.

I asked if there was a fee if I do a border run and they have no information.

Sorry, but make up your mind. 4 hours ago: "My local travel agent here is saying I need a document from my embassy about the passport change, and to pay 1000 transfer fee." 2 hours ago "My local travel agent has no information to give." If he change every two hours I suggest to wait a few more, maybe he starts paying you.

I'm moreso asking if I go to the border with a cancelled passport and a new one if I will have any problems or be asked to pay. My local travel agent has no information to give.

I don't know, travel agents make deals with Immigration on borders. I hope you can understand that we do not know or even want to know of these deals of every single Immigration Officer and all the agents in Thailand. Good luck.

Not that I know of, there are listings of fees not the free service.

If you are here on the Single Entry Tourist Visa you can apply at Immigration for 30 days Extension of Stay. Bring both passport and the stamps to transfer the visa information is for free. You only pay the 1.900 Thb for the Extension of Stay.
