hi all,

I arrived in Thailand in March, with a single entry tourist visa, which I extended with 30 days in April, so currently staying on the visa amnesty. I am in the process (almost completed) of getting married to my Thai girlfriend and without any unforeseen issues we should be married within the next 2 weeks. Now I'm trying to find out how I can make sure I don't have to go back to Belgium a week after we get married. I've come across the "60 day visit family" extension, but it is unclear to me if I can use that on regular single-entry tourism visa.

once you get married you could go apply for the 60 day visit family extension BUT you'd have to do it BEFORE amnesty runs out

the 60 day visit family extension is issued when you apply for it. The BIG thing is that you have the documents required to get it

AND

before you even ask, there are 70+ immigration offices in the country contact your immigration office and get the hand out or list of required documents for the 60 day visit family extension based on marriage to a thai
