Before writing the post I searched if there was a similar one but I didn't find a definitive answer to my question. I currently have a "covid visa' which expires on March 17th. Before i had an ED visa so i cannot renew the covid visa. Now I am married to a thai national and i was wondering if it was possible to get some visa, such as visiting thai family or non O visa due to marriage, without leaving the country. Thank you for any replies

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of applying for a visa extension or a non-O visa due to marriage to a Thai national while currently holding a covid visa that expires soon. A response indicated that the user could apply for a 60-day family visit extension using marriage documents and suggested visiting the local immigration office for further assistance.

You can apply for 60days visiting Thai family extension with marriage documents. That is one time deal per entry.
If you applied for at least one extension based on studying before Covid extensions, you may be able to apply for an extension based on being married to a Thai. Go to your local immigration office and get a handout.
Thanks for the reply. I was worried about not being able to apply for a visa without leaving the country. Anyway on Monday I will go to immigration to ask for all the information
keep in mind you're NOT applying for ANY new VISA ๐ฎ
All you would be doing is going from an extension based on education to a yearly extension based on marriage. There is no VISA involved in the process. Just changing the reason for why you had extensions.
As Ellie said go to the immigration office, get the hand out that lists the requirements and see what they say about you getting a year extension based on marriage
IF you have never gotten the 60 day visit thai family extension (since you last entered thailand) you could get it. Remember you can only get that 60 day visit family extension once per entry.
And yes when you apply for the year extension you need to have the 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply. SO get the funds arranged and if you need time to get the funds seasoned take that visit family extension.
