TLDR : Answer Summary
The user overstayed their visa-free entry in Thailand by 2 days and has questions about obtaining a 30-day visa extension despite issues with TM30 registration. Community responses offer solutions, including checking into a hotel to get the TM30 filed, which is necessary for the extension application. Users mention potential fines for overstay and recommend preparing necessary documentation before visiting the immigration office, noting that registration for TM30 can be done at the office if needed.
Update: I went to the immigration office, they told me it was fine to register the TM30 in the office, just need to fill in 2 files and than have a copy of the housekeeperโs ID card, and than can get it, I was living in a temple for meditation, and I donโt have the copy of the housekeeper, they said it was fine and help me update the data online so that I finally got my TM30 from the templeโs office, and finally got my visa extension, big thanks to everyoneโs warm and kind helping, wish u all have a good day๐๐๐

You book hotel again meaning today or asap. Thwn ask the hotel staff to register the TM30 for you for immigration purposes. Ask them for a copy of the TM30 registration. Tell them you are going to the immigration after you boom the hotel. You have to tell them because not all hotels register the TM 30 if you dont tell them that you need it. So better, when you go to the hotel, ask them you need TM30 registration. If they say they dont do it, then m9ve to another hotel that does. It is their responsibility, but many small guesthouses dont do it. So better go to a hotel that does.
Thanks for helping, really appreciate it ๐๐๐

Like Tod has mentioned, go and try to apply for the extension. Worse case scenario is you have to pay a fine for not having the TM30. The fine is 800เธฟ and up. I paid 800เธฟ last month but have heard of others paying more.
Youโll end up paying that for a hotel for the night.
1900เธฟ for the extension, the additional 800เธฟ for the TM30 fine and 500เธฟ per day for overstay.
Please note, if youโre going to the immigration office today, be prepared to be there all day, as Fridays and Mondays are the busiest times to go.
Doesn't have anything to do with your entry stamp being expired the online TM30 system can only access data for 15 days. You needed to print it out right after it was filed ๐
You'll have to pay 500baht a day for the overstay and the extension will start the date your current stamp expired
You could check into a hotel for one day, have them file a TM30 then go apply
BUT
Go try and you'll either get it or you won't.
It's not like you have a lot of choice really ๐
Thanks for answering๐๐ really appreciate it, yes I try to get the TM30 but failed, is there any alternative files can be used? Does it means that if I canโt get the file to prove my accommodation, I have no way but leave right? ๐๐
