TLDR : Answer Summary
The question discusses the legality of foreign teachers in Thailand teaching privately at home while holding a work permit for a school. Community responses reveal conflicting opinions: some assert it is not legal unless it's for the same employer or in very small amounts, while others suggest that many do it without repercussions. A consensus forms around the idea that while it may not be officially allowed, discreet private tutoring is common if not conducted as a business.
you can if you’re doing in small amounts you can have a few private clients. the same way if someone comes to my house and asks me to teach them chemistry or physics and they pay you some money to do that. no one cares what you do privately. as long as your not setting up a business
Legally it is not allowed. If that falls on the same employer/School. It should be okay. Some people does it discretely but it shouldn't be allowed by the book.
