TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion clarifies that Covid visa extensions have not been issued since October 2022, despite some claims of them continuing until March 2023. Members across the conversation confirmed that there was never a specific "Covid visa" but an extension of stay related to Covid-19. Additionally, a couple of members mentioned alternatives for extensions and the specific case-by-case discretion of immigration offices, particularly regarding current situations like the war affecting certain nationalities.

Firstly there was never a "COVID VISA" it was a Covid19 extension of stay.
Issuing was finished at the end of September.
You may be able to get a 30 day extension of stay, ONLY if your embassy will issue a letter stating that you cannot return home because of the Covid situation there. This is near impossible now.
AND that would be totally at the discretion of whatever immigration office you go to.
Phuket immigration will consider applications on a "case by case" basis.
The only embassy issuing letters are Ukraine because of the "war" currently.
soon, Thailand will allow all the infected Chinese to enter... Covid extension for Chinese is the next step. Thailand wants their money! China might reinfect the world... So covid extention returns! 😂
Covid extensions stopped being issued after August 24th 2022. Absolutely no idea why you could have thought they’d been announced until March 2023. As
