Hello! I’m on covid visa for now and it will expire next week. I’ve been told that the immigration is allowing only selected people to do more covid extension. Can anyone tell me is it true and is there any changes regarding to covid visa? Thanks a lot.

hi! I'm sorry, but can you explain this more? We are about to apply for our first covid visa (had 60 days arrival, plus 30 normal extension so far).

I got my most recent one in early Dec in MMT. No hassle at all. Plan to go back either before Jan 25 or at the end of Jan if deadline is extended before the 25th

They are scrutinizing applicants more intensely now but that doesn’t mean you will be denied…just go try for it and see what happens you will either get the COVID extension or the 7 day to get out of Thailand extension…good luck and as always look into a plan B

No I went in last week and got my second. Highly unlikely you'd be denied. Very simple process (BKK) out in 40 minutes.

What immigration office are you using? Perhaps someone with experience of that office can help.
For Changwattana, if you are getting your second or more COVID-19 extension, they are asking for a paid flight out of Thailand before they issue that extension of stay.
I’m not familiar with that office myself but haven’t seen any reports of people being refused (unless wrong paperwork etc.). I’ll let others with more familiarity with that office confirm.
