last year I did it Even with turist visa in Bangkok bank, but needed a address with tm 30, witch you bring to immigration with your passport and 2 photo, and Thai license. They not allow to open accounts before buying a insurance 5900 bath. That was last year and only Bangkok bank accepted this last year, but this year I heard they changed the policy. before 2024 yes, but now there are only Bangkok bank who allowed me to open with 30 days turist visa, and I needed to have residential in Thailand, that means TM 30 from your hotel or landlord + passport/Thai license, residence form original from emigration and open Insurance in the Bangkok bank. I was in all the banks trying and this was the only place I was able to open against these conditions.

2023 was different. You can open as a tourist easily. 2024 has new rules and policies.

Bangkok bank take only 200 bath. For transfer

If you only have turist visa, then you only have 1 option in my experience. That is Bangkok bank. 5900 Bath In insurance + driving license + Proof of residence buy immigration + 500 in deposit + 600 if you want to use in atm. I went to several banks.
