if you haven't lived in Thailand for an extended period of time I would suggest getting an METV before you arrive as you can get nearly 9 months from that, then at about month 7 or 8 start making decisions on what you're doing next (longterm options such as elite or going to a different country).
it's not about being rich, it's about giving good advice... It's sound advice to tell someone to try living in the country first but it's bad advice to tell them to get an ED visa, especially when their long term plan is to get an Elite Visa.
If your phone isn't internationally unlocked, you will need to get it internationally unlocked (what I did, was about 20$, online, took 2 mins just had to plug my phone into a computer) or you can buy a new phone
the school administrator who will be the ones dealing with your WP and Visa are all foreigners?
Regardless unless it's changed, CW Immigration (Bangkok) will not accept locally notarised degrees unless it's from your embassy, and they also require the Thai embassy stamp from the country of origin when being notarised in the origin country.
it depends. If you have used the 2 months extension already, no, as it can only be used once per visa. If you haven't then it might still be possible, but like anything it will be down to the Immigration officer and office. So best to check with them
Depending where you are will depend on what immigration and WP office will accept... Some will accept it being notarized here. Some will not and want the thai embassy stamp too.
You need to talk to your school to see what the local immigration and WP office wants. If you get them notarized here and then find out they won't accept it then you've not only wasted time but also money.
lawyers are a waste of money when it comes to citizenship & PR. You either meet the requirements or you don't. They're one of the extremely few things in Thailand that isn't negotiable.
Something wrong with the meter. Had a similar issue when I lived in SaKaeo, they came and replaced the meter and it didn't happen again. Don't wait, talk to them now
