Absolutely and it has to be updated to the same day. I've fallen foul of this in the past, take 100 baht out of an ATM before you update your book on the day you go to immigration and therefore ensure its up to date

sandbox isn't quarantine, you are free to travel around Phuket, just not leave the island for 7 days

I don't think it would make too much difference to places like Phuket for example. We had very good numbers come through sandbox and people seem happy to stay in Phuket for 7 days
