Interesting read, as Thai Airways is broke, they promise alot but can barely promise BKK to CHIANG MAI. When it comes to making Reservations into Thailand use the official websites and not obscure FB post

I don't think there is a direct flight meaning Non Stop from the USA to Thailand. Once upon a time Thai Airways might have flown non stop LAX to BKK, loaded down and flying against the jet stream only a few planes can do that.

we motorbiked to Phuket in early April, in all my 33 years of coming to Thailand I have never seen it so dead. We went to Patong Beach one afternoon and it had maybe 12 people. Patong itself looked like a bomb had gone off.
