Hey regarding obtaining a TR60 in Vietnam. I see that HCMC requires an online appointment now in order to apply for a visa, is that correct? I see the appointments are NOT available until late next week. If true and I cannot just TURN UP like before, are there any reports on Hanoi? Can I just turn up in Hanoi, since I dont want to stay in HCMC for another week just to get a visa... (yes I know other option is as US citizen a Visa Exempt also but... prefer a TR60....)
Is it still possible to get a year long, multi entry non-immigrant type O visa based on marriage to a Thai from Ho Chi Minh city without proof of finances?
> I used the website's list as the basis and added some just in case. [members only]

Fee: 200 USD (USD only!)
Time: apply in the morning, pick up the next day in the afternoon.
Tips:
- When applying, arrive a bit before opening time.
- Download, print, and fill out the application form completely at home. The consulate's room is quite small and can be quite chaotic. Have all your things prepared beforehand and get in "line".
- Check the national holidays (Thai and Vietnamese) beforehand online. A list is available on the website.
- No proof of funds needed.
All together: a succesfull trip because I was prepared and organized. Thanks to the consulate's website, this group, and its members.
Ok peeps! Need a bit of advice. Booking my next visa run in a couple of days. Where to go? Vientiane, HCM, or Hanoi? I know Vientiane you don't need all the paperwork. But what a about the other two?
