I'm in Nakhon Sawan and today went to immigration to check on requirements for the 90 day registration. I have read alot about requirements so a month early I wanted to check what they would ask for being a new process.
So I'm with my thai partner and they explained in thai and repeated in English that so long as my TM30 was registered (which it is) I need not do anything else.
Advised that after 180 days to either leave the country or extent, which I knew.
To extend she advised I would need to present the same proof of funds I obtained the visa with being the 50,000tb (or equivalent to what was requested upon application) mine being £11,000
I haven't been back to the U.S. in years. What is the best way to get from Nakhon Sawan to Suvarnabhum Airport that does NOT involve a motorcycle taxi in Bangkok? The last time I took a motorcycle taxi in BKK was the last time I wanted to kill someone with my hands.
Went for a covid extension this morning. Was told multiple times that "a new law since Monday" now says that all covid extensions start the day you apply. Immigration would like everyone to wait until March 24th to go apply for their extension. Remember to social distance and wear a mask.
60 day TR runs out on 22 April, want to extend for the extra 30 days, leaving on 16th may. Given Songkran and closure of immigration office in Nakhon Sawan for most of the week before. How much in advance can I go there to get the extension, think I read somewhere 3 weeks? The week after Songkran is probably leaving it too late and may well be somewhere else in Thailand that week anyway
Anyone planning to use the nakhon sawan office I just got my 1 year extension of stay.Be prepared for a wait in 7 years of using the office I have never seen so many people there but as usuall all staff are very polite and efficient.
I probably will look stupid for asking this but for my peace of mind (or lack of depending on the answer): At what point after I arrive in Thailand to work at a school do I need to report my residential address to the police? I'm almost through my first 3 month non B visa. Thanks.
