Hey everyone - especially the Perpetual Travellers among you!
I keep reading that people needed to provide tax statements during the application. How do you handle this if you haven't been a tax resident anywhere during the last couple of years? Any personal experiences welcome 😊 Thanks!!!!
I am currently working full time in Thailand, I have a Thai wife and I have a WP and, a visa obtained through my school. However I'm considering permanently moving to a village up North and teaching online. If I do this what are, my options? I don't have the savings for a retirement visa.
Hi, everyone! My contract will expire at the end of March. And so will my visa. I am not willing to extend my contract since I’m unhappy with the current school I’m working in. However, I don’t want to leave Thailand. I’ve found an online job. Can anyone please tell me what are my visa options? Is it possible for me to make a student visa or any other type of visa that will allow me to stay here for some time?
Also, if there’s another option for me to stay in Thailand, do I have to leave the country in order to apply for a new visa?
# How to visit Thailand every ~2 months for a year?
I think I may want to get Invisalign treatment in Bangkok, which requires coming in for dentist appointments every ~2 months. But I want to be able to travel to other countries in between those appointments.
Could I use the "visa exemption" to enter Thailand ~6 times in a year, if I'm flying in and out? (I'm from the USA.) Or what about Tourist Visas? Are those limited per year?
I know a Thai Elite visa would let me enter and exit many times, but it's a bit expensive...
Any other ideas? (I'm not married to a Thai person or retirement age yet. I work online, not for a Thai company. I'd love to learn the Thai language on an education visa, but I've heard it requires your ongoing presence in the country during that year, and I want to travel internationally a lot. Could it be done with volunteer visa or others?)
How much money do I have to show coming in to a Thai bank account every month to satisfy the current requirement for a non o based on my kids? Does the book only have to show any foreign source or will they check the money comes from my home country? I work online and my plan is to deposit 40k cash into my friend's account every month and he will put the cash in to my Bangkok bank account. He lives is Myanmar. Will it work?
