I know insurance is not necessary for the visa. And I don’t want to deal with travel insurance. They’re never as seamless as getting the native lock insurance. What are my options?
Hello. My wife and I are in the planning phase of our retirement to Thailand (from Canada). This is approximately 3 years away.
Is there a site or video series that anyone can recommend that lists the recommended steps? We have a reasonably good idea of the requirements but not the steps, the order and timelines.
We plan to use an agent as I assume that will make things more efficient and painless. I think it's too early for an agent but I could be wrong. I assume 6 months prior.
I’m a Dutch citizen preparing for my long-term stay in Thailand on the DTV visa. I’m considering cancelling my Dutch health insurance since I will deregister from the Netherlands, as it is no longer required. However, I have some questions regarding travel insurance.
Does anyone here have experience with a travel insurance policy, specifically covering medical expenses, for a full year? How does deregistering from the Netherlands affect travel insurance coverage?
Also, would it be possible or advisable to get a good health insurance or travel insurance directly in Thailand?
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
I'm in the process of applying for Non-immigrant O visa multiple entry based on marriage with a Thai. Apparently I need to hold insurance covering minimum USD 100.000,- and valid for an entire year regardless that I rarely go home for more than 6 weeks. (got to mention here that I already have a travel insurance covering unlimited, but it's only valid for 60 days per trip)
Does anyone know of an affordable insurance that fulfill the requirements for obtaining Non O multiple entry. I don't care to much about the coverage since I already have insurance that covers what I need but not adequate for the application.
I am aware of the insurance requirements for Thailand being 10,000 dollars however with the likelihood that most people won't be needing it and it probably wouldn't pay out anyway and are just buying it to pass the Thai Pass , are there cheaper options that work than the near 100 pounds AXA asking for. I have insurance with revolut that's Allianz which is covered medical but doesn't specifically mention covid on the certificate.
My colleague’s wife was being treated for cancer at Samitevej before the corona lockdown. (Husband and wife Japanese) now she needs to come back but I can’t find insurance for the $100,000 corona coverage requirement. Anyone have any leads?
