I've done a few border runs in my time just the walk over ones. As I stand there I see the Thai and Malaysian come and go seemly no checks ??? . I'm off to Kuala Lumpur soon for a few days and you know it is my Thai lady friend says I come I come. So the question is do a Thai need a passport to go to Malaysia ?
Hi all, currently trying to travel from Bangkok to Chiang Mai but unsure if there are restrictions as we are unvaccinated.
Airline website says Chaing Mai require Covid vaccinations but then upon entering Thailand it says you have freedom to go anywhere in the kingdom once you’ve done Thai pass, negative test etc.
Can anyone please help clarify? Also willing to take train/bus but not sure if they also require vaccine or test beforehand.
A friend came into Thailand under the Thailand Pass on December 27. Her arrival PCR test was negative. She apparently was supposed to get another test on January 3, but she didn’t go to the bospital for the second test until today — January 6, three days late. An employee at the hospital aas giving her trouble, saying that she was in violation of Thai law and should report herself to the immigration office.
Assuming that today’s test also is negative it seems like it’s a case of no harm, no foul.
I'm planning ahead for the PCR covid test required for travel to Thailand. The rule from the Thai website states "Such COVID-19 test result must be issued no more than 72 hours before departure". So does the clock on the 72 hours start clicking when my covid test is initiated in the clinic or when my covid test results are issued?
