Hi all, I noticed this post [members only]/ from about 2 months ago, but I would like to ask what are the requirements for applying first time around, not for extension. I just re-entered Thailand today on a 60-day visa exemption. My Thai child will be born in a few weeks. Can I apply inside Thailand (Udon) or do I have to apply at Vientiane? Can I go from visa-exempt to Non-Imm O based on Thai child? Will it take the form of an initial 90-day visa, followed by an extension for the year? How long does 400,000 THB need to be in the bank for? Any other requirements specific to the first time application? Many thanks! 🙏

I have a take care of baby visa that my agent advised me to get before converting over to a non o family visa(not married),I just called at immigration to ask a few questions about the conversion and they said I can extend the take care baby for 1 year saving me a chunk of money,anyone else had any experience with this ?

Do I need Papers confirming sole custody over Thai child for the non o year extension if the mother (me) is the foreigner. I believe I read elsewhere thai law grants the mother legal custody. Hard to find the right info as everything is aimed at the father being a foreigner but I know requirements differ.. any info appreciated thanks

has anyone who applied for e-visa.I cannot find section where i can choose stv (only tv).I want to be in thailand for the 271 days for the birth of my son,but i read with tv you only can stay a total of 60=30 days.grrrrrr

Im currently living in Thailand on a Non B visa with workpermit. passed month I been switching jobs now my visa is running out I wish to exit Thailand and reenter with the non b for the new company.

now the immigration informed me I had to leave the country 1 month ago when the workpermit was finished. she told me it aint a problem directly but it will be when I will come back to the immigration office for the new workpermit on the new company I will work for.

Any experience with this.

I got a daughter who is half thai and born here on samui, I got the parenthsip documents etc. will this allow me to retrieve a non o instead ?

I read some ambassy's ask for a salary strip and workpermit but I don't; got that yet. others need a 400 k on bank slip wich I also don't have but do have on a dutch bank.

hopefully someone got some information regarding these issues
