TLDR : Answer Summary
As of now, there is uncertainty regarding whether only a Rapid Test will be required at the airport for travelers coming to Thailand from May 2022. A proposal suggests changes could be implemented, but accurate information will likely be confirmed closer to the end of April. Currently, travelers still need to undergo a PCR test upon arrival, while the pre-departure requirement may be dropped.
The government doesn't make any money for the pre departure but they do for arrival and day 5. They won't give this up for a while until they have milked the system dry.
day 5 is now just an atk test done by the person themselves and uploaded to Morchana, ain't no money to be made there though.
The day one, I agree though. That'll be here a while

He is not wrong. The way they have tested humans like animals for the last 2 years, it's definitely a rabid/rabbies test

There's a proposal that it will change in May. We likely won't now for sure until April 29th or 30th
