Hey all, my Malaysian wife just went to Cambodia to return to Bangkok. She was refused entry and now needs to fly, the immigration said an outbound flight from BKK and my work permit info would suffice for entry at the airport, as she is meant to have unlimited entry due to nationality we are devastated by this. Do you think she will be okay to enter with my info and an outbound flight? Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their Malaysian wife's recent entry refusal into Thailand after traveling from Cambodia. Although typically Malaysian nationals have unlimited entry, she faced issues and was advised that presenting an outbound flight from Bangkok along with the user's work permit information might suffice for her entry. Others shared experiences related to entry difficulties due to COVID extensions and suggested alternative entry points, raising questions about current immigration policies.
thank you - I'm going to fly into bkk from phnom penh I hope it will be okay I only have one extension and one covid extension if that fails I balik kampung for a bit
i thought they had stopped the covid extension already.
Flying in from Vietnam should be no problem. My Malaysian cousin who is working in BKK had no problem when he flew back from Vietnam after a holiday there.

She can fly back to Malaysia and then enter Thailand by land through any of the land borders from Perlis all the way to Kelantan. Of course the best choice is at the Bukit Kayu Hitam/Sadao land entry where she can go to Hatyai to catch a flight straight to BKK..
I tried to go through poi pet(cambodia) and they memang tak layan 🥲

Kat Isaacs kdg2 airport immigration officers terlebih tegas sgt berbanding kat land borders

I didn't get refused just turned away and back into cambodia - I'm just wondering if I have an outbound flight back to my country(malaysia) then would I be able to enter through bkk?
Look at the stamp in her passport. If she was denied entry there's a stamp with a Thai character 1-10. That number corresponds to the reason she was refused.
