Covid test today @ 26th @ 12:30pm and was expecting the results back tomorrow on the 27th, however, it appears that these guys have been extremely efficient and have sent the results the same day, received 23:00hrs .. by my calculations and as per requirements, 72hrs before flying that means they are valid until 11:53pm on the 29th.
Flight departs Manchester @ 13:45pm on the 29th arriving BKK on the 30th @ 12:30hrs .. this technically means that the covid test expires somewhere over Dubai ... Is this going to be an issue ? or shall I contact the clinic tomorrow and ask if it is possible to change the date to tomorrow ? Thanking you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received their COVID test results on the same day as the test, which technically expires during their flight due to timing. They are concerned about the validity of these results when flying from Manchester to Bangkok, specifically if the results expiring over Dubai will cause any issues. Responses indicate that the results are valid as long as they meet the 72-hour requirement before departure.
I dont think its the math. I think its the poorly worded and poorly understood difference of 1) is it from when you take the COVID test? Or when you receive the results? And 2) is it 72 hours from when you depart your first departure point (home airport)? Or is 72 hours from when you depart the final departure point (last leg) to Thailand? I have seen so many answers and variations it can make your head spin! π
itβs results 72 hours prior to the first flight listed on your COE. Say as an example you were flying LAX to JFK then on to DOH to BKK. Your COE will only list JFK DOH BKK, so the results need to be 72 hours prior to the JFK flight. Technically how you get to (or how long you take to get to) JFK is irrelevant.
