People need to be given an IQ test before being allowed to ask questions in the group, the amount of stupid repative questions is getting ridiculous, but dose give me pleasure answering their stupid question with a stupid answer lol

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the frustration of a group member regarding repetitive questions asked by newcomers in a Facebook expat group focused on Thailand visa advice. While the original poster (OP) suggests implementing measures like IQ tests to filter questions, many commenters argue that there are no stupid questions and emphasize that newcomers often have genuine queries. The conversation highlights the tensions between experienced members who desire a higher quality of discourse and new members seeking information, ultimately illustrating the challenges of maintaining a supportive community.
What about giving people a grammar test or spelling test?
Christopher ********
My favorite question is the people asking if they’re gonna get banned from Thailand like we know their individual situation and history and everything.
I mean, how are we supposed to know and it’s usually these people that leave the least amount of detail
But what keeps them going? Is that people keep starting to answer them sarcastically and then it just kinda goes on and on and on
People like u put people off wanting to mix with ex pats. No such thing as a dilly question amd if ut bothers u just ignore it cos I'd happily answer any question regardless
, you have the audacity to criticise others for asking repetitive questions and claim they have a low IQ, and yet by virtue of your own post, it is unintelligible!!!
One who possesses INTELLIGENCE would know how to use spelling and grammar and how to use spellcheck feature on their smartphone!!!
Back in your BOX!🗃️

I noticed you can't spell

Well talk about shooting yourself in the foot by posting a stupid post!! Quite ironic really.🤦♂️

Yeah, well since you know it all you must be the big professor on everything, somebody doesn’t know anything. They ask a question if you don’t like it don’t read it.
Sturgess ********
You are assuming that the people asking questions have been following the board for years. This is not the case. Typically it is someone who just recently discovered Thailand and wants to learn more. Some questions are from drunk expats, no question, but most are asked sincerely and they’re hoping that those of us with extended experience can help. If that’s not you, maybe you should go elsewhere.
Paul *******
I think ya post is pathetic matie
Marvin *******
You mean does?
Michael ********
“Repetitive,” not “repative.”

Not everone has been a member for the same length of time. Maybe they just moved. You knew everything straight away? You know everything now? Take a break for a few months and the same questions come up. If it was the same person asking I'd have a issue.

I was given an iq test and the results show that I am a genius.

You would know, member since December 2024....

If the questions have become stupid and repetitive to you, I'm assuming you learnt the answers a while ago, some people are new to Thailand, and obviously don't know the answers, the same as you didn't, when or just before you first arrived, so understand everyone needs to learn.
Ronnie ***********
People join the group to gain answers related to what the group is for. Nobody searches previous posts in groups. Plus the search function is rubbish. They want direct response to their own posts. Not so hard to understand. Don't stay in the group if you can't handle the repetative posts from new group members, oh mighty one who can't write properly.

It "dose"?

I’m okay with repetitive posts.

I’m okay with repetitive posts.

I hope the word "repetitive" is on that IQ test you are demanding.

Many people lack the skills of doing basic online search or even in the group, and many people are just happy to answer. So it will always be like this in an almost non moderated space without Faq.

So, like, is Thailand worth it?

It happens in every forums. Being polite goes a long way. Some of the keyboard “experts” here are real jerks in their responses. If you don’t want to say something nice, it’s very easy to just scroll down. 🤷🏼

Forgive me but the group is called “…visa advice” and not “Non-repetitive visa advice for people that cannot spell”

Maybe they should be given a spell test also you 😩 learn to spell and be cohesive with your sentences ffs

Thanks for letting us all know. Even though you can't spell, you went to the trouble of writing this post. You could have simply scrolled by certain questions but you went the extra mile to let us know your feelings.

Perfect. Let's put you and every other dipshit that thinks this is a good idea on the block list! Buhbye

I love posts like this where the poster sounds like a drunken moron.
My favorite part is if you look at his profile he has a pic that says "pensioners before immigrants". Perfect from someone living in another country, probably on a pension while milking their system and resources.

So arrogant

Repative? Dose?

Dmb Bonas,
If somebody was new to the group then how would they know it's a repetitive question?
Jason ********
Says the OP who’s name is “dmb” which by his posts probably means “dumb”😉
Paul ******
Oh, so this is a Visa Advice site but don’t ask questions because we’ve heard them all before.
If you don’t like the questions, why are you here? Just leave the group.
Todd *********
You would never be allowed to post again…
Matt ********
It’s does and repetitive
Tom **********
I'm just wondering why they aks questions on visa, immigration, medical, drivers license, exchange rates, amongst others, on here. I'm short of a complete nine grade edjumacation, but I did take the Ebonics coarse. 😆
isn't asking people who've gone through the same processes and have intimate knowledge of the hurdles negotiated regarded as research?? Sounds like it to me
fb groups are there for research and exchange of ideas. what is your problem?

The group is called Thailand Visa Advise for a reason. So what may appear as stupid to such an intellectual as you, may be a real concern for others. Enjoy the Christmas season, be happy and understanding.
Ellen *************
I’m so thrilled you misspelled so much here 🎉 this is Thailand, there’s room for every flavor of idiot -so love and let love, bro. Stop living up to your name (Dmb) and just let people live.
If I remember correctly, you’ve asked a few questions here yourself. Maybe you don’t need to be in the group anymore 🤷🏻♀️
Every one has entered Thailand at different times (recent/distant) with different experiences, so trying to give advise humbly is okay for me. At least give them directions of where to look is acceptable to me. Lord knows I need it from time to time.
LaShanda **********
“Repative “😒! Your phone definitely should’ve highlighted that foolishness
The text in your post with all the misspelling suggests English isn’t your first language, but that’s perfectly fine too. We don’t berate people for that. We answer people who have genuine questions about travel to Thailand and visa requirements.
If you know the answers then please advise. If you’re pissed off that the same type of question is asked everyday then just scroll on.
Wait, you mean you can just *scroll by*?!? Like there is no need to be a supercilious *$$****? Who knew? 😉
I have found that searching things on The Google can often yield conflicting answers. Sometimes wrong answers. It is great too be able to come and ask a group of people who have actual experience doing what it is that you are trying to do!
people forget or can't see, visa advice AND EVERYTHING ELSE, that includes spelling, asking dumb questions about ANYTHING, hence ANYTHING ELSE! So, has anyone seen any drones flying around?
