I asked one Muaythai gym about their price list. The prices were OK. But after I asked for supporting documents for DTV, so they sent me a new price list with more than double prices. It's like a robbery in daytime š
And as I said that I dislike their behaviour so they started saying that they don't have the teaching lisence to avoid a bad speaking about them šš but it was an another their bad behaviour because I know they got the lisence already a few months ago. Avoid golddiggers and liars āļøš
I really didn't understand their stupidity that they behave like they are smart and other people are rich & stupid. But it's sometimes a common thing in Asia, unfortunately.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their frustration with a Muay Thai gym's pricing strategy after requesting documentation for a DTV visa, which led to a sudden price hike. Responses varied from criticism of the user's perspective on pricing and market demand to recommendations for other gyms with better practices. The conversation highlighted issues such as perceived exploitation of foreigners, varying gym policies on documentation, and the general challenges expats face while navigating visa requirements in Thailand.
Just create a "remote worker" job for yourself. This Super Visa is the easiest visa to get. Everybody's getting one.

We all knew this would happen.

You pay the price for what you want, it is as simple as that, you sound like a cheap charlie that wants a 5 year visa as cheap as possible. just accep that others also might have some profit.

People will always try to take advantage of foreigners.
They think we āhave moneyā, and they can make up a price that they think is reasonableā¦
This is where the issue starts, a lot of people are unreasonable, and dumb. So they might think something like:
Oh it will costs me 2 hours and 200 baht, so let me charge 2000 baht+2000baht for my time. Since he āhas moneyā anyway.

So you want them to do extra admin work by filing documents but not want to pay them for it. You are right about yourself..rich and stupid.

I did mine through Fight EVO360 Muay Thai Pattaya, I received a signed letter along with signed paid invoice. There was no extra paperwork charge, the rate was discounted from the regular monthly rate because I paid 6 months

They also helped me with the application and gave me a money back guarantee if I couldnāt get the visa
Sorry to hear that. But I highly believe Petchlanna Muaythai School in Chiangmai can provide you their reasonable price and professional business manner. Talk to
Dude. Why complain about it ? Demand is high and when demand is high prices increase. Either take it or leave it. Are you the problem or are they?

Some charge for the paperwork, some will add the charge to the lessons. You could always try without the paperwork but will still need to have booked and paid for the training in advance

I don't know that one really needs any paperwork from the MT center, depending on the consulate possibly just show that you've enrolled and paid along with their name, address, and registration certificate number etc.
you do need an invitation letter, thatās the most important document. That should go with gym registration, sports accord accredited, receipt for your training etc. But thatās what I submitted and it was easier and faster than any tourist visa Iāve ever gotten.

Your last paragraph will win you no friends in Asia. It is disrespectful. They have no obligation to help you get to Thailand. If you donāt like what they offer stay where you are.
I know people like you who want to white knight online always use this phrase but you are really terrible at it. "Don't come to asia if you don't want to get ripped off" is not really making your case
He wouldn't be the first person to be charged for slandering and naming a company! calling Thais stupid not a good idea, I'm sure he will be welcomed with open arms NOT!
