30-day Extension Start Date Question [RESOLVED - See reply]

I'm currently on a 6-month METV and currently stayed almost 8 months (exiting and returning before the validity period of the visa). 

Now, I am interested in doing the 30-day extension at Promenada. My most recent entry stamp is valid until August 30th. Do I have to extend on August 30th in order to maximize my time in Thailand, or would I still get 30 days starting from August 30th if I go to Promeda now and do the extension?
