TLDR : Answer Summary
For retirees over 50 looking to move to Thailand, the most relevant visa options include the Non-O Visa, which requires a deposit of 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account, and other retirement visas such as Non-OA and Non-OX. Options like the Long-term Resident (LTR) Visa and Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) may also be suitable depending on personal circumstances. Before applying, it's advised to check the Thai Embassy website and consult with knowledgeable individuals or agents about the necessary steps and requirements.
Your answer. What you think why people are here? Because they do not comprehend the links google gives them. They need/want answers in lay men terms. Trying to turn one away from a group which specifically made to exactly answer such questions: is rude.

Is there any way around putting the 800,000 baht in the bank account for a retirement visa? That’s my whole savings and I wanted to use that to settle in with. I make over the monthly 65,000 baht so my income is good but just can’t afford the 800,000 baht! 😭😭😭😭

The first thing I do when I want to know about Visas is I check the Thai Embassy website to do some basic research. Then I ask the knowledgeable people here if I have questions. This is what works for me.

There are at least 4 "retirement" visas so you'll need to do a bit of research and see what suits you best
