What Visa Options Are Available for a British Passport Holder Visiting Thailand Multiple Times?

Hi asking for a friend.

He is a British passport holder and already got a visa exempt twice this year.

He is due to fly back to Thailand for a third time this year in December to stay with me but we are only in Thailand for 1 night before flying to Vietnam and Cambodia before returning to Thailand around the 18th December.

So this would be his 4th time at this point in Thailand this year.

What would be his best option for visas.

We are also going to Laos in January for 2 or 3 nights before again coming back to Thailand. So the whole trip starts on 9th December and ends on 15th January.

m okay what caused the confusion (on your part) is confusing 30 day visa exempt entries by AIR (which have no official limit) and 30 day visa exempt entries by land (which have a limit of TWO entries in a calendar year).

He's only flown in, he's flying in again and as long as there's not some other entry history that we don't know about (like living here on back-2-back 30 day visa exempt or 60 day tourist visa entries) there shouldn't be any problem stamping in..

May I ask the question, who do you work for Tod Daniels? Do you work for an Embassy or visa corporation. This site gives great information, so maybe people should know more info about the administrators.

Benjamin Hays they're going to Vietnam and the consulate can make a transit visa valid for 30 days if need be. I'm sure he can use the information I've given him to check it out himself.

If he has the flight out after one night and his ticket out of the country on his last entry I dont see why you need to worry.

He is a genuin tourist and not living here on back to back exemptions or touristvisas.

He can perpare with having 20,000 Baht in cash and confirmed lodging for his stay in Thailand.

i think this is right, he is not maxing out visas or visa exempt then coming back. That’s what they don’t like. No issues with genuine tourists.
