Need some useful tips in dealing with Chon Buri Immigration - I’m moving from Bangkok to Chon Burin next week 🙂

1.  Are they strict on TM28 and TM30 being lodged when moving, travelling etc?

2.  How is the wait/queue there compared to Bangkok?

3.  How are they to deal with in general, and anything that you think would be beneficial to know?

Looking for people with recent experience and knowledge...the likes of Tod etc.

90 day report is very fast, like 5-15 min. Extension based on marriage is a nightmare and at Chon Buri Immigration and can really make you wonder if its worth it to live here, never tried BKK but only Chiang Mai

Well, my experience in Jomtien Immigration was amazing - walked in at 11am after sleeping in, and walked out 11.03am...all done in less than 3 minutes (TM30)

Just bring a copy of the rental contract, then it should be ok. at least in Jomtien

Chiang Mai and Jomtien will let you 'self file' with none of the land lords documentation

unfortunately you wouldn't, but you could go to the immigration office and I have seen them call landlords and tell them they have to come do it

Chonburi don't recognise the TM28. It's all done via a TM30. Can be extremely busy before and after holidays. Not so bad during low season.

Oh, and they know every trick in the book and want it there way of doing things.

Was there today, great service. registration and visa extension in less than 45 min.

the officer told me they accept the TM30 registration up to 3 days without fine.

and she informed me that i could travel within the kingdom without re-registation.

Yes. They don't use a TM28 in Chonburi.
