I have one question, a friend of mine, from myanmar, lost his work permit. He reported it to the police, but apparently the labour department is still denying him the right to get a new one. What can be done?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend from Myanmar lost his work permit and reported it to the police, but the labor department is denying him a replacement. Suggestions include contacting the company for support and possibly hiring a lawyer. Additionally, reaching out to the Burmese Embassy could provide assistance with the paperwork and create a record for escalation if needed.

He might want to contact the Burmese Embassy as well. They have people who help with visa and work permit paperwork. Also there will be a record in case things escalate further.
