What should my friend do if their visa status is 'under consideration' and they missed the deadline to return to immigration?

Hey all your help would be appreciated.

A friend of mine overlooked that their visa status was “under consideration” and they never came back to the immigration office to get the new stamp... This was in May. So what does she need to do in order so that she will not have a potential problem to get another extension after the current visa amnesty will be over on October 31?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A person inquired about the steps their friend should take after failing to return to the immigration office when their visa status was marked as 'under consideration' since May. Users advised that the friend must revisit the same immigration office where the stamp was issued to resolve the issue and highlight the importance of adhering to the instructions provided with the visa stamp.

and remember they have to go BACK to the immigration office where they got the under consideration stamp, they can't use a different one.

As far as what stamp they'll get, That is between them and the immigration office. They should have actually READ and followed the stamp in their passport that says "applicant must contact the immigration office on xxx date" :/ Whether amnesty was extended or not has NOTHING to do with you following the instructions stamped into your passport :(

Your friend should go back to the immigration where the "under consideration" stamp was received and close the loop.
