TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about their boyfriend who recently secured a work permit but missed the expiry date to extend his non-B visa. Community members advise that he needs to address the situation with immigration urgently since he currently has no valid visa. Options discussed include potentially obtaining a COVID-19 extension or preparing for a fine due to overstaying.
Yes he has no valid visa at this moment, if he can get COVID extension that's the only way he can stay there ,but otherwise he has to leave ASAP,he will be charged 500 baht for every day that he stayed in thailand after the expiry date of non-imm visa

Tbh no idea but he needs to sort it with immigration asap, you'll find most are very reasonable IF you get to them first

Up shit creek without a paddle. Might be able to get unable to travel due to COVID

If he "missed the deadline," does that means he's on overstay?
If his Non-B has expired then it's finished, he'll need to apply for a new one. The bigger issue is if he's on overstay. If he is, he needs to go to immigration on Monday (no later), pay the overstay fine (500 baht per day) and apply for a "covid unable to travel extension."

Deadline was Dec11, but immigration said still exemption for fee till Dec 30.
That doesn't make sense. He's either on a Non-B, on a visa exempt entry, or in the country illegally on overstay. And if he went to immigration, he can't be on overstay.
