Just realised that 4 visitors who applied for a Visa Extension was given as under consideration and to return 12th July. Will head to Jomtien Immigration tomorrow, anybody had similar experiences before and the outcome?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experience of an individual whose visa extension application is currently under consideration, with a return date for further processing. Community members provide insights into visa types, specifically referencing a possible 30-day visa waiver for Russian nationals, and clarify that an 'under consideration' stamp indicates that the application is in process and does not lead to overstaying. They emphasize the importance of returning for the second stamp to finalize the visa extension.
If you have an under consideration stamp, it means it is in "process" and you have to return to complete the second stamp on or after that date.
If it is still in process and the date that is stamped under consideration passes, You are not on overstay.
It remains in process, in limbo so to speak.
You do need to get the second stamp completed sooner than later of course.
As you have been granted time on the extension already waiting for it to process, there is extremely rarely any reason for the second stamp to be denied ever.

A Russian national without a visa will be granted a 30 days visa waiver, based on Γ₯ bilateral agreement.
There's no other extension available, other than a "covid-extension", so that must be what they applied for.
they completed forms for an extension and the forms were not only for Visa extension. Russians are on a 28 day visa as itβs Visa on Arrival and not Visa Exempt, which are 30 days and they had to fill in an additional 3 forms compared to what I normally do, arriving on Visa Exempt.
I sort of figured that out but was wondering if anyone had any experience and what the outcome was, but the 7 days to leave Thailand was something I was unaware of. Thx.
they should have gone back on the exact date stamped in the passport to close it out. They need to go ASAP as the y are technically on overstay now. They need to come up with a very good excuse when going back as they may get a 7 day to leave Thailand stamp.
