I'm hoping I'm not screwed.  Lol.  I am American and have been living on koh tao.  I'm land Travelling to Laos to do a visa run  in hopes of a quick stamp in spend a night and stamp back into Thailand  non exempt 30 day visa.  Am I going to have to go to thai embassy to apply for another visa to enter Thailand  from locals?  I entered on a tourist 60 visa and had a 30 day extension already.

You can have TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by a land border in a year. So if your entire history this year is only a 60 day tourist visa and a 30 day extension you're fine.

My question is why would you slog all the way to Lao only to turn around and get a visa exempt entry? While you're up there why not get a single entry tourist visa from Vientiane?
