Dear All, 

I have questions would like you guys to give me some opinion.  Right now I’m working in Thailand holding NON B visa by my company and my visa will expire on 14th October 18. Recently I just resigned from my company for go back to my home country, I will flight from on 26th September 18 to my country and my last day at work on 30th September but from 24-30 September 18 I took my Vocations(mean I use my benefit that I had work in my company 1 year can get 6 days vocations) so mean my last day at work is 23 September. I just got in formations from my HR that they need me to go to Immigration for cancel NON B visa and extension to Tourist visa and charge me 1,900 Baht. So my question I would like to know Is it correct way to do this ? Why I need to pay more 1,900 Baht if I don’t need to stay in Thailand anymore even I make everything on the process of the work ??

It seems that your HR want to cancel your WP and Extension of Stay on 23 Sep, your last working day and apply for a new Extension of Stay which will be denied and you get 7 days to leave the country. Which would be enough because you leave 26 Sep. You can ask your HR to cancel your WP and Extension of Stay on other date like 27 Sep, so they not have to apply for a new Extension and saves you 1.900 Thb.

nope, not if you're leaving the country by the date your job is over. Just have the employer write the letter stating your last day is the 30th. Then the immigration office will cancel your current extension and stamp you in until then.

then they need to write the paper stating your last day is officially on the 30th of sept. You take that termination paper to the immigration office and they will cancel your existing extension and give you a new stamp that lets you stay until that date

right, that is how you cancel extensions of stays. you go BEFORE you leave the country and cancel it based on paperwork from your employer and the last date you work listed on that document.
