TLDR : Answer Summary
A user asked about the fine for being over the required 90-day check-in period after renewing their Non-B visa in Thailand. Responses indicate that the standard fine is typically 2000 baht, regardless of how long the overstay is. However, there are varying experiences reported by others, suggesting that some immigration officers may impose differing fines or may not require a 90-day report if a new visa has been issued.
Other than you failed to actually close it 😂😂😂😂

Okay, SOME immigration offices 'reset' your 90 day count down clock when you get a new yearly extension of stay. (you can NEVER renew a visa or an extension :/ ). BUT if they do that you'd get a new 90 day report receipt in your passport like you get when you file a 90 day report.
IF you get a new extension and don't get a new 90 day report receipt in your passport the count down clock was NOT reset and you do your 90 day report when ever it's due.
if you're traveling again soon then you can get away without doing this 90 day. The next time you travel and re-enter the 90 days will start again and you can report as normal after that. I've done this myself without any hassle at airports or immigration and didn't have to pay any fines

I also had this issue renewed my Non-b visa without leaving the country. I then went to do my normal 90 day check in and was told I didn't need to do it as I had just got my new visa. Then went back on the date they said; then the same guy tried to fine me for being 84 days late.... So had to pay some tea money (1000 THB) then after insisting on a receipt got it back...

My apologies I got another 2 year extension. Not renewed

But if you went to Immigration Office and got a new stamp with the text on the second line Extension of Stay is permitted until ../../.. you do not have to leave Thailand, but you report every 90 days at Immigration

You apply for an extra year on your work Permit at the Ministry of Labor, they have nothing to do with your Visa. If you got the new Non Immigrant B visa from a Thai Consulate or Embassy you got stamped inside Thailand for 90 days, then you have to leave and re-enter, so you do not have to report that you stay more than 90 days inside the country.

First of all you can not renew a Non Immigrant B visa. If you have a new visa you're only allowed to stay 90 days inside the country, so no 90 days reporting needed.
